You probably never hexperred it but oversized giant straw hats are the most unexpected IN YOUR FACE fashion accessory of the year.
These straw hats are not only huge but uber stylish. The first time I saw a hat this huge was in a picture of Nimi Nwofor which was the featured image on our previous blog post.
A little research shows that giant hats like these are readily common among Mexicans and Hispanic communities. As extravagant Gele (head-gear) is to Nigerians, so are over-sized hats to Mexicans lol. These extra-large straw hats give a whole new term to the word “over-sized”.
They are definitely made for people who love a lot of attention. It is so big. If you do not look carefully, you may think it is an umbrella made of out of straw. This hat was recently made popular by french cool-girl label, Jacquemus.

In as much as an over-sized straw hat can make a cool addition to the wardrobe, If you are not Dangote or Otedola flamboyant or a big spender, you would agree that £530 pounds is a lot of money to spend on a hat.
