How to Set Up an Express Entry Account and Profile

In other to create an Express Entry profile, you must first create an IRCC secure account. If a representative is submitting a profile on your behalf, they will submit the profile through their Authorised Paid Representatives Portal.

After creating an account, you or your representative will need to fill out an eligibility questionnaire to determine if you qualify for an Express Entry program. If you are eligible, the next step is to fill out an online form with your information, including details on your age, work experience, education, and language test results. Once the form is submitted, the Express Entry system will automatically determine your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and which program you are eligible under.

How To Check the Status of Your Express Entry profile

To check the status of your Express Entry profile, log into your IRCC account, click on “View the applications you submitted,” then navigate to “Express Entry profile status” and click on “View your profile. Note that an Express Entry profile remains valid for 12 months. However, if you no longer meet the eligibility criteria during this period, your profile might be removed before the 12 months expire.

When do you Apply?

You will apply when you get an invitation to apply in your express entry profile. If your express entry profile is in other, you will be asked to submit an Express Entry p application for permanent residence. To accept an ITA, you must submit a complete application within 60 days of receiving the invitation. If you miss this deadline or decline the invitation, it will expire, and you may not receive another one.

How to Show Proof of Funds for Express Entry

To prove funds for Express Entry, applicants need to provide letters from their financial institutions. The letter should have the following details:

  • Printed on the financial institution’s letterhead
  • Contain the financial institution’s contact information
  • Include the applicant’s name
  • Specify any outstanding debts or loans
  • Provide the following details for each account:
    • Account numbers
    • Date of opening
    • Current balance for each account
    • Average balance for the past six months

How to Apply for a Canadian Visa
