3 creative ways to style a pleated skirt without looking like a grandma

Long pleated skirts can be tricky to style. They remind me of my Secondary School days where senior level students had to compulsorily wear them. It’s funny how pleated skirts never came across as stylish back in the day.

Here are 3 creative ways you can style a pleated skirt without looking like a grandma or high school student.

Look 1.

For a very simple casual look, pair a pleated skirt with a tank top, minimal accessories and cute sandals or slides.

Look 2.

I love how Fashion Designer for Jewel by Lisa brand, Lisa Folawiyo put together this look. This look is very sporty chic, not everyone can pull this off. I love how the sneakers give the entire look a sporty vibe. Looking to style a pleated skirt? Be like Lisa☺; throw on a belted blazer and top it off with a clean pair of sneakers

Another way to re-style this would be to pair your pleated skirt with a belted off shoulder denim jacket.

Look 3.

Fashion Influencer and yummy mommy of one, Laura Ikeji paired a pleated skirt with a white camisole and and a well cut blazer for a formal office look. Another way to re-style this look for work is to throw on a pair of court shoes (if you work in a strict formal environment) but If you work in a semi formal environment , you can roll up the sleeves of your blazer.
